Great North of Scotland MR Exhibition

Elgin Model Railway Club Exhibited a double 0 gauge (00) layout entitled the ‘HYTHE’ at the Moray Model Railway Group’s 30th Anniversary of the Great North of Scotland Model Railway Exhibition.

The event was held on Sat/ Sun 6th/ 7th April 2013.

The Hythe is still currently under construction, primarily by the Junior Members under the direction of Chairman Dave Spratt. The development work will continue until September 2013, when it is scheduled to attend the Inverness Exhibition.

The Junior members meet weekly on a Sunday afternoon. Anyone interested, please use the online enquiry form.

The coach is a Gresley Full Brake, originally LNER, but transferred to the Scottish Region of British Railways on nationalisation and this is the current appearance.

 

 

It was built from an Ian Kirk 0 Gauge kit and has had various commercial and scratch built detailing parts added.
