Iain Lamb
Born and brought in Edinburgh in a Household where the Church of Scotland philosophy governed one’s life and activities. After college in Edinburgh he spent most of his adult life involved in Outdoor Education, mountaineering and developing the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Schemes. However during his spare time he was a member of many prestigious Committees with regard to outdoor activities in the UK.
Currently heavily involved in outdoor work with Over 50s walking groups, His primary hobby from an early age has been railways, particular modelling with a wealth of knowledge about the Scottish Railways and has written many articles which have been published in Hornby Collectors and other well known publications. Linked with his hobby is Scottish travel and tourism matters, especially related too educational tours for overseas groups. In preparing this resume on Ian he informed me he had just spent many weeks touring the preserved railways in the UK and indulging himself in the topic of Railways. He is a member of Elgin Model Railway Club, plus he can be seen at many of the Model Railway Exhibitions throughout Scotland.
