FULL MEMBERSHIP
The advantages of membership is that you will have access to the Club premises at anytime, the opportunity to participate in the construction and running of Club layouts – in N, 00 and 0 gauges. There is also the opportunity to learn from others, and for others to learn from you.
Of course there is always time to stand and chat with fellow members about also sorts of railway related issues – and sometime others!
Full membership also entitles you to participate in all decision making in the Club – members decide on all developments and projects, the Committee does not make these decisions but just ensures the smooth operation of the Club.
Membership also gives access to the Members area of the Website.
The procedure for joining us at Elgin Model Railway Club is simple.
You must be over 16 years of age and in the first instance contact the club via the online enquiry form.
You will then be invited to attend a few club nights and if you think the club is for you, then your application will be presented at a Member’s monthly meeting.
Current Annual Subscription (until April 2012) – £30.00
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
If you do not feel you would have the time to attend on a regular basis, or live at some distance from Elgin, but would still like to be involved with Club, then Associate Membership may suit you.
Associate Membership allows you to attend at the Club up to twice per Calendar Month and also gives full access to the Members area of the Website and receipt of the Club Newsletter – Platform 3. However an Associate Member does not have any voting privileges in Club decisions and cannot participate in Club Committees.
As with Full membership, you must be over 16 years of age and should contact the club via the online enquiry form. You will then be contacted and if you wish to make a formal application this will be presented at a Member’s monthly meeting.
Current Annual Subscription (until April 2012) – £15.00
